These lulls, best explained as dropped calls, fast busy signals and other minor network hassles, are oft experienced by all wireless carriers. But unlike even its closest competitors, Sprint PCS Wireless made a bold move by offering its growing client base a refund for such troubles, with many customers receiving up to 30% off their monthly Sprint cell phone bill.

Perhaps it is such dedication to customer satisfaction that has driven Sprint PCS Wireless to the top of the charts, where it remains the No. 4 cell phone carrier in the U.S., with an estimated 20 million customers nationwide.

Something Sprint does share with other cell phone companies is an ongoing investment into improving its network design, which is currently being revamped to be more robust and therefore more accommodating to even the most demanding needs.

A solid line of Sprint cell phones and Sprint calling plans, both of which run the full gamut in prices and offerings, further rounds this out. Sprint cell phone plans range from the $35 plan to a comprehensive 1-800 minute-a-month plan for less than $100.

For instance, Sprint Wireless plans start at about $35 (Sprint PCS Free and Clear Nationwide plan) a month, offering 300 peak minutes and unlimited night and weekend use. This coverage is nationwide, with stronger coverage and variances in plans in most major U.S. cities.

Perhaps one of Sprint Wireless’ most popular cell phone plans, the Sprint Free and Clear (area-wide), is great for those who do not travel outside of their calling area often, boasting 1,000 peak-time minutes and unlimited night and weekend use. If you travel outside of your immediate area frequently, you may want to strongly consider the Sprint PCS Free and Clear Nationwide 1000 plans. For around $80 a month, these plans allow for two choices: 1000 peak minutes and unlimited night and weekend use; and 3,000 peak minutes (which includes nights and weekends).

For families, Sprint Wireless offers Sprint PCS Free and Clear Nationwide 700 for around $128 per month. For this, subscribers get 700 minutes of use for their family, unlimited use on nights and weekends, and are required to pay $20 per extra line or for every additional phone added to the plan.

Of course, you’ll need a cell phone to go with your new plan. Tops on the list, the Sprint PM-6225 phone is one of the most complete Nokia phones on the market today.
