Verizon Declared Fastest

PCMag.com and its subscribers have overwhelmingly declared the Verizon FiOs the fastest and most reliable Internet service in the US. This included being faster than all cable providers and covered customer service satisfaction as well.

PCMag.com asked readers who used broadband to participate in real-world testing of Internet speeds. SurfSpeed, and independent Internet speed measurement application was used for the testing. They were also asked to rate their level of satisfaction with their ISP.

The findings resounded what FiOS customers already knew, that fiber optic networks are the best Internet connections available. Fiber optic connections are much faster than cable connections, the Verizon FiOS tests showed a 152% increase in speed versus cable Internet.

Verizon Wins
In addition to being a faster service, Verizon FiOS is also comparably less expensive than its slower counterparts like cable providers. This leaves no room for argument that FiOS is the best value based Internet provider for its speed, customer service and cost.

In addition to this win, readers polled in PC Magazines survey for the “Best and Worst ISPs in America” voted Verizon number 1. Readers had 11 categories to rate, ranging from speed and set up to overall service. PC World also named Verizon’s FiOS as a winner in the 100 Best Products of 2008.

Verizon is the only company to offer high-speed Internet service over a fiber-optic network that is the nation’s most advanced and reaches over 10 million homes and businesses. Predictions are for it to reach over 18 million by 2010.

With download speeds ranging from 10Mbps to 50Mbps in service areas, users are going to notice a difference in speed and quality the first time they access the network.

The FiOS network Verizon has introduced is expanding its coverage every day to bring the fasted possible Internet connect and the best quality picture and sound for FiOS television to all of America. It’s no wonder Verizon was declared the fastest – and the best.
