Now Friends and Family can Join Verizon Wireless

Many Verizon Wireless customers have been anxiously waiting to see
what, if any, changes would occur with the merge of Verizon and Alltel.
Alltel customers have been nervously awaiting the same news.
The good news for everyone is that the Friends and Family plan is
here to stay. Alltel customers can breathe easier and Verizon customers
can applaud.
The Verizon version of My Circle breaks down slightly different than
the Alltel version; however, for Verizon customers who had been waiting
on a plan similar to the Friends and Family it is worth the minor
changes. Alltell customers who were already on the My Circle package
will be able to keep theirs as it is without any changes, they are
being grandfathered in as is.
Verizon’s Friends and Family plan allows single line users up to 5
numbers, land line or mobile numbers on any network, and family plan
members up to 10 numbers that are unlimited for calling. Any minutes
used for these numbers do not count against the customer’s plan. This
plan gives Verizon customers more flexibility in controlling their
wireless phone bill.
Requirements
Verizon Wireless customers who want to take advantage of the Friends
and Family can do so with no setup charges and make changes to their
circle of friends with no charge. In order to join, single line
customers must be on a 900 or more Anytime Minutes plan and multi-line
accounts must be on a 1400 or more Family Share Plan.
Single line plans can have up to 5 numbers in their MyCircle and
Family Share Plans can have up to 10 numbers to share. In addition to
the Friends and Family benefits, Verizon Wireless customers continue to
have unlimited mobile to mobile access within the Verizon network.
According to Mike Lanman, vice president and chief marketing officer
for Verizon Wireless, this is a milestone for the industry, allowing
customers the freedom to control their wireless spending costs without
giving up service or communications.
Verizon Wireless Friends and Family now allows even more people to
join the largest growing networks in the communications industry. Now,
more than ever, when asked ‘can you hear me now’ the answer will be a
resounding ‘yes’.
