If you are a customer of Sprint wireless you probably already have this information because you are using the service, but if you are not with Sprint you might want to think about switching your service.

Sprint has partnered with Google to give customers a great deal. For starters, Google is Sprint's "preferred mobile search provider" so that customers can have easy access to all Google products. If you are traveling you will be able to get to Google Maps easily.

If you want to use YouTube while you are on the go, you'll be able to get it through your Google search. To do this they have both created what they are calling an "open mobile ecosystem" that allows users to have more choice when they want content for their phones.

According to Doug Garland, vice president of product management at Google, both Sprint and Google have the same vision for the mobile web, which is to provide "compelling, easy to use mobile services" so that users have access on a daily basis.

You know this is a really good idea since the majority of people who use a search engine use Google. This is something worth thinking about -- it may be time to switch services just for the convenience.

What You Can Do With the New Service

As a Sprint customer, here are the services that you can currently get from Google and there are more on the way:

Google mobile search -- This allows you to get on the web to search locally and otherwise from your phone. This will also be GPS-enabled on any phone that is web-enabled now. Some new devices will have this feature too. You will be able to bring Google search into your pone on the home screen so you can have one-click access to mobile search.

Google Maps for mobile -- this is available on some smart phones and will be on new phones in the near future. Can you imagine being able to look at maps and satellite imagery, find a local business if you need to and get driving directions all from your mobile phone?

They have also added in the ability to get real time information about traffic conditions which we think is one of the handiest features, especially since you can sometimes miss the information on the radio.

YouTube
-- now when we first saw this one it didn't make sense because you have to actually watch YouTube and how the heck can you do that when you are driving? But what they have done is make available videos, user's favorites, videos and channels and well, we guess you will have to look at this when you are bored in traffic or waiting in lines.

There are more features that are also available to customers but we are going to stop this article for now. We want to make you curious enough to check out the service.
