"Off The Hook" Parent/Teen Cell Phone Agreement

I understand that having a cell phone is a lot of responsibility. I suggest that we work together on this and outline an agreement that we can rely on to ensure this privilege is never abused. And, it gives me the opportunity to show you how mature and responsible I can be.

I agree to sit down with you every month and go over the cell phone bill, answering any questions you may have about how my minutes were used and about who I am text messaging with.

I agree to keep my cell phone off during classes and to be respectful about how and when I use it. If there are other times and places you feel I should not use my phone (such as dinner time, at church, restaurants, movie theatres, etc., let’s list them here so there are no misunderstandings.

Of course, I agree to turn my cell phone off anytime you instruct me to.

I agree to a monthly cell phone plan as outlined below:

I will not make long distance calls unless warranted by an emergency, as I understand these are expensive.

I agree to keep my cell phone on at all times (except when in class, etc.) when away from home so that you can always reach me quickly.

I understand there are additional charges for surfing the Web and agree not to never my phone for this purpose.

I understand that the following games are on my cell phone and that I cannot download any additional games without your knowledge and consent, as there are additional charges for many of these, even though they may be promoted as being free.
