NHL On Your Verizon Phone

Verizon has expanded their sports offerings on the FiOS TV to include the NHL. Now Verizon customers can access the NHL on their Verizon phone. NHL fans are as diehard about their hockey as football players are about their hockey and now they don’t have to feel left out in the cold.

By purchasing the entire season of NHL Center Ice games customers receive a package that includes up to 40 games in the NHL that are out-of-market games and also certain games from the Stanley Cup Playoff’s first 2 rounds.

AT&T Leader in Disaster Response Organization

AT&T announced that its Network Disaster Recovery program has reached fruition. After a year-long effort to bring together all the necessary components to insure that wired and wireless communications remain intact during disaster situations.

With an investment of over $500 million dollars in its NDR program and over 150 portable trailers carrying technological equipment that can be deployed on a moment’s notice, AT&T has moved ahead of the pack in preparing for a national or even worldwide disaster that could affect communications.

AT&T Ready to Weather the Storm

Sprint Gives Student Discount

Students who are members of institutions that are a part of MiCTA will now receive a discount on their cell phone bills. This discount will range from a percentage off their bill to a waiver of set up fees.

MiCTA is a national association whose members are from higher education, healthcare, libraries, K-12 schools, government and other not for profit organizations that are joined together to help with telecommunications issues.

Football fans that just can’t live without their football will have access to a customizable virtual broadcast booth. Customers will have access to multiple camera aspects that they select.

The NFL Network Game Extra will allow customers to have online access to many features such as up-to-the minute game stats, drive chart simulations, live chats with other game viewers, live audio and more.

PCMag.com and its subscribers have overwhelmingly declared the Verizon FiOs the fastest and most reliable Internet service in the US. This included being faster than all cable providers and covered customer service satisfaction as well.

PCMag.com asked readers who used broadband to participate in real-world testing of Internet speeds. SurfSpeed, and independent Internet speed measurement application was used for the testing. They were also asked to rate their level of satisfaction with their ISP.
