June 05, 2006 By: James D. Martell Cingular Mobile Music Studio Let The World Hear You
Music nourishes the soul. Cingular wants its customers to enrich their spirits by listening to some fine music. Cingular is one of the leading wireless service providers in the US with a huge customer base. There are thousands of potential artists waiting for a chance to reveal their talent and skills. MySpace believes in promoting talent, and already has about 68 million subscribers and a substantial number of music bands. Showcase Your Music Talent through MySpaceThe music artists of MySpace get the privilege of web distribution of their art. After the license formalities are over, the artists can upload their self-composed music track through an audio file. This file transforms their track into mobile ring tones with the help of InfoSpace, an old Cingular partner and one of the top providers of mobile content. The artists are offered links to post their tones as a music sample. Later, these tones are sold on MySpace. It is an exhilarating feeling to hear your own music ringing on the mobile handsets of thousands of people. The first band to take part in the music trial of MySpace is Shifter from Australia. They have begun to carve a niche for themselves in the US music market. Their debut album contains five songs and is named Shifter. The CD of this album is available in digital form on Boar Records/SpinArt Records.
