This feature allows you to send and receive mobile email in real time from your Palm OS and Windows Mobile devices. The two versions Office Sync from Alltel for small businesses and individuals are available initially on the Palm Treo 650, and the UTStarcom PPC-6700 - which is a Windows Mobile5.0 Wi-Fi-enabled (Wireless Fidelity) Pocket PC device.

Both the Personal Edition for individuals and the Enterprise Server Edition for small businesses are available from Alltel through its retail, direct and indirect channels.

With most professionals and businessmen on the move most of the time, Office Sync from Alltel’s stable is a practical communication solution. You can remain in constant touch with your office or customers through the Palm OS and Windows Mobile devices, which are equipped with Intel® processor, backlit QWERTY keyboard and Bluetooth® Wireless Technology.

Alltel, America's largest wireless network, offers both editions of the fast, and easy-to-install and use Office Sync at $39.99 per month, along with unlimited data access. The Personal Edition allows you to access your desktop, whereas, through the Enterprise Server Edition, you can access your corporate email server.

Both editions of Office Sync from Alltel offer a two-year customer agreement along with a $20 activation fee. To qualify for this offer, you need to either have an existing voice plan, or sign up a new wireless voice plan costing $39.99 or higher. For the Enterprise Server Edition, you need to pay a one-time charge of $200 for the software.
