A Cellular Phone Is More Than A PhoneWe once had a Swiss Army knife, and now we have the modern cell phone. The short messaging system (SMS) followed by emails, ads, music, camera, a substitute for laptops, and now subscription magazines for your cell phones. This small wireless marvel never ceases to amaze everyone. For music loving subscribers there are cellular phone versions of Spin and VIBE made available by Alltel – the customer-focused communications company. Spin magazine offers coverage of the music scene, and features reviews, profiles, interviews, and essays, along with reporting on political issues and popular culture. The cell phone version of VIBE offers ‘the hottest wireless content direct from Vibe magazine’ and you will have urban music and culture right at your fingertips. Subscribers of these mobile magazines can access concert dates and reviews from their cell phones, along with the latest music news. They can participate in polls and concerts. Alltel provides its customers as much coverage on the cell phones as provided by the print magazines. Applications are available for magazine subscribers to access content in the current issues of "M-SPIN" and "M-VIBE." They can interact with other users, view album reviews, photo galleries, and download Spin-sanctioned and VIBE-sanctioned ringtones and graphics.
