What Is The Cell Phone Picture Sharing Feature?

So you’ve snapped that shot, and now you want to show it off.Cell phone picture sharing gives you many options for doing just that!

And as US carriers are finally getting around to addressing the frustrations of cross-carrier multimedia and picture messaging; it should soon be easier for more Americans to use their cell phones for picture sharing.

But how can you get those photos to your friends and family anyway? The options are many:

  • You can send the photos to other cell phones simultaneously via either EMS or MMS (presuming the receiving phones have the capability to receive them).
  • Picture sharing can be done by sending the photos to email addresses. Here the picture can either be embedded in the message or sent as an attachment.
  • Alternatively you can send a web link via email. And upload your pictures to carrier web sites (for a fee); or your own photo blog site. Otherwise to one of many picture sharing and printing websites with user friendly options for you and whoever you want to see your pictures.

But there are still more ways still to picture share from your cellular camera phone:

  • If your handset has a cell phone memory slot, then you can take out the memory card and use it in camera phone photo kiosks. Springing up all over the world in accessible public places like shopping malls: these kiosks are Bluetooth, Infrared and Wi-Fi compatible.
  • You can buy digital photo frames that show your pictures as a slide-show display.
  • You can use Bluetooth or USB to send photos to a desktop printer.
  • And also store your photos on a mini- storage device with a hard drive, and then view the photos on digital TV’s.
