November 15, 2005 By: Matt Jacks What Is The Cell Phone Animations Feature? No it doesn’t mean the mobile phone can jump up, and then run around with little arms and legs like in the TV ads in some countries! But cell phone animations can be almost as much fun. We all like to personalize our cell phones, don’t we? Yes, to make them more “ours” and not just any cell phone like everyone else has. One way we can do this is with ring tones of course, and another is with a new cell phone animation. There are animations on some older phones too. Earlier phones of differing brands and carriers had animated screensavers for which though limited, started things off. And some more modest handsets today can only have these simple and briefest of animated graphics. And that’s fine if you don’t like them, not everyone does. But a lot of people do. And with color screens and better quality displays, the animations soon got starting to be more complex and stylish. A simple representation of a fish can now be a school of enchanting tropical fish swimming through a coral reef in the brightest of color. Animated cartoon characters can raise a smile during a tough day. Flowers can open, clouds can drift, dogs and cats can play. Complex geometric shapes can spin and rotate for your delectation, and sexy dancers can do a bit of gyrating too. And animations can be for more serious tasks too, like helpful arrows directing you on a cell phone map. For use either as a screensaver or as background wallpaper; animations are fashionable and popular. And many cellular carriers offer a good choice of animations via phone downloads, as do other web sites. Sometimes for free, but more often for a small cost.
