GPRS Mobile Phones – Motorola Options Fly Anywhere

Motorola have announced an expansion to its General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) portfolio through the introduction of two new GPRS mobile phones. The P280 GPRS mobile phone and the T193 are both handsets that will be made available nationwide, using the VoiceStream Wireless technology. It is this technology that offers rapid, constant connectivity to the Internet through iStream, a new GPRS service.

The Motorola T193 is the most inexpensive GPRS handset on the market today and has been designed specifically for the business community and people who frequently travel on a round the world basis. The Motorola T193 provides an easy-to-navigate, cell phone experience thanks to faster data speeds and global across more than 80 countries using easy to use and affordable “always on” and “always connected” functionality for data, including e-mail, faxes and Web-based information.

The Motorola T193 offers a selection of downloadable ring tones, and a variety of styles and colors in convertible wraps. The Motorola T193 also includes a voice-dialing feature and programmable voice-activated shortcuts to favorite features, allowing users to send and receive text messages from other mobile phones quite literally within seconds.

Motorola’s P280 is aimed at the business professional. It offers a wireless modem, international roaming for those who travel far and wide, and personal information management tools for email, phone numbers and test messaging. The P280 also has the option of accessing e-mail, faxes or Web-based information directly through the handset or by using the included accessory cable to plug-in to another wireless device, such as a laptop or PDA.
