September 17, 2005 By: Alison Lelliott Verizon Video Cell Phones – Now Offering NBA HighlightsThe NBA has partnered with Verizon Wireless, the nation’s leading wireless video cell phones provider, to deliver NBA video cell phone highlights via the Verizon Wireless’ new V CAST multimedia service, to Verizon Wireless cell phone subscribers. V CAST is the first truly authentic wireless broadband service available for American consumers. It allows users to view NBA highlights with picture perfect graphics, on an on demand basis thanks to the Verizon Wireless’ Evolution Data Optimized (EV-DO) network. It is this network, available to more than 30 major metropolitan markets and more than 75 million people, that allows real sports fans real time access to NBA video clip content on Verizon Wireless phones. Accessing the V CAST NBA content is easy – even for first time users. All you need to do is visit the getVIDEO section of the Get it Now virtual store, click on Sports and then you will be able to view video highlights of NBA games. Games highlights will include those in the remainder of the 2004-05 NBA season, the NBA Playoffs and The NBA Finals. Going to this menu option will also provide users with access to video highlights from 2005 NBA All-Star in Denver. Highlights can be viewed for each NBA game video highlight for up to 24 hours. The services costs $15 per month and can be added to the user’s existing Verizon Wireless calling plan. This $15 fee allows users unlimited access to more than 300 daily updated videos, games, and news and information services. Verizon Wireless users can find out more about this V CAST service by visiting www.verizonwireless.com.
