Cell Phone Postcards – A Cingular Wireless and Fujifilm Joint Venture

Cingular Wireless and FujiFilm have announced the introduction of the world’s first photo postcard application to be used on wireless cell phones. The application called Mobile Postcards allows cell phone users utilize their camera phones to create personalized cell phone postcards that can be sent to anyone in the United States, using the U.S. mail service, generated instantly from their Cingular cell phone.

This cell phone postcard software allows you to create and send postcards of all descriptions. With this software you can choose from standard designs such as travel to a tropical destination, baby motifs for birth announcements and birthday designs to celebrate a special birthday occasion. There are plenty of designs for Cingular customers to choose from.

The process itself is very simple. Users simply need to select a postcard design from the software’s database, choose a photo from their camera phone images, add their own personal message, add in the recipient’s postal address it, and then press send. The postcard is then quickly, simply and wirelessly mailed to your recipient's phones.

The services itself is convenient. Users can easily and quickly purchase and mail a personalized card anytime, directly from their cell phone. All they need to create their own personalized photo postcard is access to the Cingular Wireless network service and a compatible Cingular camera phone. Users can then download the postcard application directly to their phones by logging into the Cingular website. After the download, users will then be able to access the application from within the Games and Applications area of their phone’s menu.
