Speech-To-Text Phones – The New Samsung Innovation

Building on its existing and consistent record of cell phone innovations, Samsung has announced the release of its new wireless technology speech-to-text phones. The p207 is the first speech-to-text phone to allow consumers the benefit of speaking into the phone and having the phone convert those words into text. Samsung is a world leader in the development and delivery of cell phone technologies and voice recognition innovations.

Using advanced speech recognition technology, the p207 allows consumers to send short messages with the sound of their voice to other cell phones as text messages. The p207 is the first cell phone that is using the VoiceMode speech technology. This VoiceMode speech technology is a text messaging application that allows the cell phone user to quickly and easily use their voice to create the text and send the message using the numeric keypad and contacts database.

QuickPhrase is another innovative application that can be found on the Samsung a890. This application allow consumers to easily address a message and activate one of the frequently used short messages pre-programmed on the phone such as ‘call me’, ‘will call back later’ or ‘see you at home’. They simply speak the words into the phone and the text is then included in the message to be sent out.

This new technology allows people interact differently with their wireless phones and discover a whole new efficiency. Users can dictate messages directly to their wireless phone which makes the messaging process faster and simpler.
