Ford Motor Company has selected Sprint to be the provider of Hands Free Bluetooth Communication System in their select Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. Handsfree calling in Ford cars is made possible using Mobile-Ease, an application that is powered with Bluetooth technology to integrate mobile phones wirelessly to the existing audio system in the vehicle. The end result of this integration is the added safety for drivers and the passengers as their hands are free while making cell phone calls.

The beauty of Mobile-Ease is that the audio system goes into mute mode when any cell phone calls are made or received. The system also uses an advanced form of voice recognition technology which allows the driver or passenger to make and receive calls by using voice commands. One other feature of Mobile-Ease is that calls are transferred seamlessly from the mobile phone to the audio system and vice-versa when the caller enters or exits the vehicle. This prevents cell phone calls from being interrupted.
