January 26, 2005 By: Michelle Harris Sprint Screen Savers – Color Your PhoneSprint has announced that Sprint screen savers have gone ‘gold’ with users of all ages purchasing more than 500,000 screensavers. The most popular Sprint cell phone screen savers being Sponge Bob Square Pants, created by Nickelodeon in conjunction with Faith West, and screensavers of MAXIM models that are made available to Sprint customers courtesy of Airborne Entertainment. Screen savers are a way of making one’s phone special and customizing it as per the person’s moods. Screen savers can be fun and also reflect the person’s personality. People can impart cell phone messages by just showing a screen saver if they find it difficult to express themselves. Sprint cell phone users have the advantage of choosing from more than thousand screen savers. If a person has a favorite rock star, he or she can download the screen saver featuring their rock star and show off to friends and family. If a person wants to support his or her favorite sports team or sports person, they can flaunt the logo or photo respectively as a cell phone screen saver. They can select their favorite models as screen savers, images of the coast, images of the mountains etc depending on the mood. The best part is Sprint cell subscribers can select Picture Mail (SM) photos as screen savers as well. Sprint subscribers can assign savers to the people in their phone book. For example if a person is a fan of Brad Pitt, a screen saver can be assigned featuring Brad Pitt. If a friend is returning from a vacation in Hawaii, a cell phone screen saver depicting the waves can be assigned and so on. Screen savers and cellular ring tones are catching the fancy of everyone, irrespective of age. Though the screen saver industry is not as big as the ringtone industry the screen saver industry as a whole is expected to grow phenomenally over the coming years.
