It can be classified as the smallest cell phone. The cell phone is powered by Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition software designed for smartphone. The phone is the first Smartphone that features Windows Media Player 10 Mobile, making it the latest provider of a whole new media experience. The cellular phones allow transfer of multimedia from a Windows XP personal computer without any hassles. The cellular phone has been introduced by Microsoft Corp., Audiovox Communications Corp., a majority-owned subsidiary of Audiovox Corp., and AT&T Wireless. The cellular phone is available at AT&T Wireless stores for US$199.99 with a two year voice and data service contract. Those who use the SMT5600 cellular phones would be able to use software like Microsoft Office and Outlook while they are traveling. The familiarity of these softwares is also one of the best points about this cellular phone. Users of AT&T Wireless phones would also be able to access their corporate email accounts from Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and other providers. Other features of the Audiovox phone include cell phone video camera functions, MSN Messenger facility to communicate online etc. Users can access the Music Store on the AT&T Wireless mMode and browse from the huge library containing more than 750,000 songs. Users can listen from the phones handset and can also buy music tracks just by clicking the right buttons on the phone. The songs get downloaded automatically to the users Windows personal computer and the charges are billed to the users monthly statement or directly to the credit card. The SMT5600 is a very light phone weighing just 3.6 ounces and is Bluetooth enabled. The phone is equipped to handle infrared transfers. It is a tri-band phone and in short a very versatile phone for its size.
