AT&T Wireless Messaging Ogo – All Messages Into One

AT&T Wireless Messaging Ogo is the new handy and affordable mobile messaging service offering unlimited instant messaging (IM) and email from all three leading providers - AOL, MSN, and Yahoo! It also includes text messaging.

Having a device price of around $99, AT&T Wireless Ogo offers unlimited messaging plans through the mobile starting at around only $17.99 per month. Ogo offers the experience of instant messaging and e-mail in a different way. They can receive and send instant messages and e-mails while on the move.

Ogo handsets are created and directed by AT&T wireless. They have been designed for multi messaging applications. To make this effort a success, AT&T tied up with many globally well-known technical companies, ranging from major desktop email/IM service providers to custom application developers and manufacturers.

Statistics shows that at present, there are 53 million instant messenger users (IM) in the US today and out of them, 24% use it more than sending e-mails. AT&T Wireless authorities feel that people, who are used to more IM, will accept Ogo more rapidly than the others in their mobile phones. Ogo is expected to improve the concept of mobile messaging extremely well and make it popular to the masses by making it more affordable.

Though Ogo is going to appeal to consumers of all ages, the company feels that it will be more acceptable by the younger generation. It is such technologically advanced that after opening the mobile phone, Ogo users can read mail, compose messages, access IM contact lists, insert emotions, and view all open messages at a glance just with the click of a button. It is basically targeted for those youth who have grown up seeing e-mails and instant messaging as the only mode of written communication.

The mobile handsets have a special "emotion" button for inserting emotions into IM chats and an "Ogo" button which helps to view all active messages and chats on one screen, thus making it more user friendly.
