December 17, 2004 By: Bill Schnarr What Is The Cell Phone Touch Screen Feature?A cell phone touch screen is a contact-sensitive pad used to input information into a call phone or Pocket PC cell phone. Most often used in conjunction with special pens for contact, cellular phone touch screens are much like electronic keypads in that the user simply has to press the proper display they want to use. In this case, the screen acts as a single large button with the ability to give several different input options at a time. For example, your touch screen could show a keyboard for adding words or other important information to your cell phone. After that, the screen could change and list several options you could select with your pen again depending on what your needs are. In this way, accessing and changing information in your cellular phone of pocket PC cell phone could be an easy to use and nearly a painless process. Many cell phone touch screens also give the user the ability to write or print directly onto the screen, making the transfer of information even faster. Special software designed to recognize letters, numbers, and symbols can pick out what you are writing and store it into your cell phone with relative ease. Cellular phone touch screens are essentially a tool for PDA cell phones and other specialty phones, but as cell phones and PDA systems gradually merge together you will be seeing more and more of them on your phones in the very near future. If you would like more information on cell phone touch screens or any other feature designed for the new cell phones hitting the markets, simply visit your nearest cellular phone retailer or specialty cell phone shop. Places like Cingular Cellular or your friends at ATT Wireless are always happy to fill you in and let you know what’s going on in the dynamic world of cellular phone development.
