December 17, 2004 By: Bill Schnarr What Is The Cell Phone Picture ID Feature?A cell phone picture ID is a graphic-related application that can either identify you as the primary user for a cellular phone or give your contacts their own custom graphics to be attached to incoming calls from them. As identification, many cell phones, such as those from Samsung or the new models created by Nokia, have custom graphic abilities that allow the user to put the graphic of their choice on the screen of the cell phone. This means that, in addition to the lockout security pad feature, you can tell right away if there has been a mix-up or someone is attempting a theft. Simply viewing the screen that displays your custom graphic or photo of yourself will let you know right away. Assigning your contacts their own custom graphics, on the other hand, is an easy to use and super handy feature for any cellular phone user. With a picture identifier assigned to your friends and family, you can tell at a glance who is calling you. You will never have to sit and stare at a phone number again, thinking, “Now where do I know that number from?” Using photos of people can be easy to use and a lot of fun. If your cell phone has a camera built into it, as many Motorola cell phones do as well as Kyocera cellular phones, you can take a picture of the person on the spot when you get their cellular phones number from them. That way, if you are a busy person and meet a lot of people in a day, you can easily keep track of who they are. Cellular picture identifier is a perfect feature when used in combination with caller ID services provided by cellular phone companies such as Verizon and Liberty. Although some phones features may require the use of caller ID and call display features, these are things you can discuss with your local cellular phone retailer.
