What Is The Cell Phone Phonebook Feature?

A cell phone phonebook is simply a storage area for names and contact numbers that can be used in a variety of ways on your cell phone.

Every cell phone on the market, from Nokia cell phones to the cell phones put out by Motorola has built in phonebooks that can be accessed and added to by the cell phone user. Most often, these phonebooks come with a storage limit, often between 250 and 500 names.

Your cellular phonebook will allow you to store the names, phone numbers, and most often even the addresses as well as a few lines of information for information regarding the nature of the contact.

For example, if you have an important job contact you could add “wants to discuss business” or some other relevant piece of information hat will remind you why this contact is important.

Furthermore, with easy one or two button calling options, you can easily store or send this information off to other sources with many cell phones.

When one of the contacts in your cellular phone phonebook calls your number, your cell phone will instantly recognize the contact and display all the relevant information on your cell phone screen.

Many cell phones with graphic capabilities will also allow you to assign specific pictures of graphics to your cellular phonebooks contacts, making identification of incoming calls even easier. This is just one way that cell phone manufacturers have made it easy for cell phone users to personalize their cell phones and allow people to match their cellular phones to their own personalities.

If your cell phone uses PC Sync features for things like uploading and downloading busy schedule appointments or other important notes, then your wireless phone will also be able to take advantage of this feature to upload and download changes to your wireless phonebook. That way, you can always have an up-to-date contact list or wireless phonebook no matter where you are.
