What Is The Cell Phone Games Feature?

Cell phone games are simple video games that can be played on your cell phones or mobile wireless handsets.

These days, most phones on the market, whether they are from Sanyo or the latest Nokia and Motorola models have at least a few cell phone video games built into them. A game is the perfect thing for the cell phone user to keep themselves occupied with while standing in a line, or travelling somewhere, or while they are sitting around waiting with nothing to do.

Cell phone video games are programmed into the cell phones or a mobile wireless handset itself, so there is no need for additional downloading, internet connections, or even use or valuable airtime minutes. Just turn the game on and start playing.

It should be noted here that there are games available on the market these days that require a wireless connection to the internet and thus do eat up airtime minutes for your cell phones. These cellular phone games are played in multiplayer environments, however, allowing the user to connect to other people playing the same games.

There are also games available on the internet for download into cell phones, and these also require the user to connect and use up their phones airtime minutes to access them. A game can also be downloaded onto desktop computers, transferred to cellular phone expansion cards, and then transferred to a cell phone avoiding expensive wireless connection charges.

Most of these cellular phone games have been developed by different technologies, some of which may be familiar to people who are familiar with encoding software for computers.

Java, BREW, WGE, and Mophun are all different types of game development technologies, and though these game formats are incompatible with each other many cell phones can support one or more of them. Sometimes, they can support them all, in which case the use should have no problems finding the cell phone game they would like to play.
