What Is The Cell Phone Email Feature?

Cell phone email is the ability to send and receive electronic mail (“e” mail) on your cell phone.

Although fairly new for cell phones and mobile wireless handsets, cell phone e-mail is quickly gaining popularity as the internet matures into a constant communication device for millions of people around the world.

Cellular phone e-mail software is a large part of the race to become the dominant cell phone web browser provider for many companies involved in the development process. E-mail is easily the most important and vibrant part of the internet, with billions of messages being sent back and forth every day, so there is little surprise that cell phone e-mail is such a sought after commodity.

One of the main problems with any software designed for cell phones is the ability to “keep it small” when it comes to size and accessible features. Obviously there isn’t a lot of storage room on a cellular phone so the ability to run software with minimum requirements is a top priority of web developers and email software designers.

With cell phone e-mail you would be able to receive emails from your desktop computers POP3 email accounts on your cell phone, thereby never having to wait when you needed access to your mail.

You could get all those important cellular phone emails while shopping, or standing in line, or driving to work, or even when you were in bed sleeping.

You would also be able to write and send emails from your mobile phone to a desktop computer or another cell phone anywhere in the world, thereby increasing the use and effectiveness of any wireless phone ten-fold.

Higher end mobile phones from companies such as Nokia and others such as Sony Ericsson are quickly working on ways to provide dependable cellular phone e-mail access to their customers, and cell phone carriers such as Verizon Wireless and their competitors over at Cingular are quickly working on affordable ways to provide the service to their customers.

The new generation of PDA and pocket PC cell phones view cell phone e-mail as a necessity. In fact, most companies involved in developing PDA cell phones are desperately working to find a good way to provide e-mail to their customers.
