Digital Camera Phones – Picture Perfect Deals

There hasn’t been a better time to shop for digital camera phones. Digital camera technology is better than ever and competition is brisk among cellular telephone carriers. With the availability of manufacturer’s rebates, dealer incentives and online promotions, it is easy to find a camera phone at a surprisingly affordable price.

One of the first decisions to make when you shop for a digital camera phone is design. Most manufacturers offer camera phones in stylish clamshell cases. These flip phones are compact and well-protected. “Bar” style phones, ones that don’t fold, tend to be more popular with the younger set. These have the advantage of a display that’s always in view...ideal if you have picture caller ID. If you’re on the cutting edge of fashion you might want to take a look at Nokia’s new line of art deco phones. On the horizon is the Nokia 7280, one of the thinnest camera phones yet.

Once you have settled on the style of phone you want, it’s time to consider the quality of the camera inside. VGA cameras are ideal for snapshots but they don’t always make the best photographic prints. If you want a camera phone that can make 4 x 6 inch prints, look for one with 1.2 megapixel resolution or better. Samsung and other manufacturers have 5 megapixel camera phones in the works.

After you purchase your camera phone you can continue to enhance it by adding accessories. Change the case or faceplate to give your phone a whole new look. Add a car kit for hands-free freedom while you drive. A retractable headset gives you extra mobility no matter where you are.

With marvelous new technology and prices dropping all the time, camera phones are catching on all across the country, from places like Headland, Alabama all the way to Page, Arizona and North Little Rock, Arkansas.
