Camera Phone Comparisons — Find The Best Deals

When making camera phone comparisons, personal taste and style are two of the most important factors. While not all camera phones are equal, the truth is that many of them share the same components, making quality less of an issue than it is with other products.

To narrow the field, the first camera phone comparisons you might want to make are on design. Most manufacturers pack their camera phones into stylish clamshell cases. These flip phones are compact and well-protected. “Bar” style phones, ones that don’t fold, tend to be more popular with younger people. These have the advantage of a display that’s always in view...ideal if you have picture caller ID. If you’re on the cutting edge of fashion you might want to make comparisons of Nokia’s new line of art deco phones. On the horizon is the Nokia 7280, one of the thinnest camera phones yet.

Once you have settled on the style of phone you want, pay attention to the quality of the camera inside. VGA cameras are great for making digital snapshots but they don’t always make the best photographic prints. If you want a camera phone that can make 4 x 6 inch prints, look for a phone with 1.2 megapixel resolution or better. Samsung and other manufacturers are due to put 5 megapixel camera phones on the market in the near future.

After you purchase your camera phone you can continue to keep it up to date by adding accessories. Change the case or add a cool faceplate to give your phone a whole new look. Add a hands-free car kit for hands-free freedom while you drive. A retractable headset gives you extra mobility no matter where you are.
