Camera Phone Reviews — The Best Just Got Better

When you compare camera phone reviews you’ll quickly be amazed at the range of options, features and functions that are packed into today’s mobile communicators. Combining the best of a digital camera and a wireless telephone, camera phones have the added benefits of text messaging, scheduling, games and memos.

Picture quality and call clarity are two things that earn great camera phone reviews. Comparisons and reviews of camera phones usually start with picture resolution, measured in pixels. VGA is the current standard for cell phone cameras, with pictures measuring 640 x 480 pixels. These are ideal for viewing on computers and other electronic devices. Higher resolution “megapixel” cameras like the Motorola V710 can take pictures that can be printed as 4 x 6 photographs. Several manufacturers have 3 megapixel camera phones and a mobile phone with a 5 megapixel camera built -in is currently in production.

Another thing to look for in a camera phone reviews is the quality of the display. Phones that are well-reviewed have 65k full color displays that are bright enough to see in the daylight. Lower-quality 4k displays are fine for game play and color graphics but they lack the resolution for viewing digital pictures.

There are several ways to transfer pictures from camera phones. You can send pictures to another phone or an e-mail address using multimedia messaging technology. You can upload the pictures to a computer using a data cable connected to your USB port. Some camera phones can transfer pictures wirelessly using an infrared port similar to those found on personal digital assistants (PDAs) but this tends to be a slow process. Bluetooth is an exciting new technology that lets you make a wireless connection to computers, as well as headsets and other devices.

With marvelous new technology and prices dropping all the time, camera phones are catching on all across the country, from places like Salt Lake City, Utah all the way to Bremerton, Washington and Fredericksburg, Virginia.
