Cell Phone Digital Cameras — Two Great Devices For The Price Of One

With cell phone digital cameras you no longer have to decide between getting a digital camera or getting a wireless phone. Now you can get both in one easy-to-use package. And with online or in-store specials, you can find these phones at exceptionally affordable prices.

What should you look for when you start shopping for a cell phone digital camera? The first thing to consider is how often you plan on taking pictures. If you simply want to take a few snapshots on family outings you can get a wireless phone with an add-on camera module. Nokia makes a hands-free headset with a camera built into the cable. This camera headset works with compatible Nokia phones.

If you’re a true shutterbug, then you probably want a cell phone with the camera built-in. LG, Motorola, Samsung all make all-in-one camera phones. Look for a unit with built-in flash if you plan on taking indoor pictures. A digital zoom is also great for getting close-ups.

The best digital cameras are capable of taking high-resolution pictures. A cell phone with a 310k pixel camera (sometimes called VGA) can take pictures that are perfect for sharing with other mobile phones. Pictures from a VGA camera can be displayed on computer or television screens. Camera phones with 1.2 megapixel resolution can produce crisp photo-quality 4 x 6 inch pictures.

Don’t focus all of your attention on the camera features and forget about the telephone part while you compare camera phones. Phones with a large color display and five-way joystick navigation are easier and more fun to use. Bluetooth enabled phones can connect wirelessly to laptop computers or hands-free headsets.

With the new and exciting leading-edge technological advancements and prices dropping all the time, phones with integrated cameras are really catching on.
