Compare Cellular Phones — How To Find The Best Deals

Today’s cellular phone market is so competitive that it almost seems like a crime to pay full price for a wireless phone. Every cell carrier has a range of in-store specials and online promotions. In order to get the best deal possible it pays to compare cellular phones before you buy. A side-by-side cell comparison helps you spot an unbeatable deal when you see one.

All cellular phones let you keep in touch when you’re on the go. But that’s where the similarity ends. Compare cell phone models and you’ll soon see that one phone has speakable shortcuts while another has voice-activated dialing. The best way to compare features is to make a list of the ones you will use most often. Review phones from Audoivox, Motorola and NEC before making a decision. If you use the phone while you type or drive, look for models with a hands free speakerphone. If you use your cellular phone for business, a web capable phone can put you in touch with important information.

After you compare the different mobile phones on the market, be sure to compare calling plans. ALLTELL Wireless, Verizon, and T-Mobile cellular each has its own way of passing on savings. If you spend your time traveling between Alexander City, Alabama and Addis, Louisiana look for plans with no roaming charges. Some plans will give you coverage all the way to Fairbanks, Alaska!

Every carrier has its own way to charge for special services such as SMS text messaging and picture messages. For instance, T-Mobile offers a package with 20 free picture messages and ten cents for each additional message. Cingular’s media package gives you 50 free multimedia messages to start but charges $0.25 for each additional message.

Once you know how the different mobile phones and rate plans compare, shop online for deals. Who knows, you might find the phone you want…or a very similar phone being offered as an online give-away!
