Portable Cellular Phones – Charge Them Anywhere

The upside of portable cellular phones is that they can go anywhere. The downside is that they can also run out of battery power anywhere. A portable cell phone charger can solve that problem. One of the most popular chargers for portable cell phones is called the Sidewinder.

Thanks to the Sidewinder you can have a cell phone charger that is as portable as the cell phone itself. The Sidewinder portable charger comes in a portable carrying kit that includes the charger, connector cable and adapter tips to fit most cellular phones.

The Sidewinder portable cell phone charger works by attaching it to the side of your cell phone and winding it up, just as the name implies. Charge your battery by cranking the Sidewinder at a rate of about 1.5 revolutions per second, however, according to the manufacturer, a little slower or faster will also work fine.

Two minutes of cranking the portable cell phone charger will give you two minutes of talk time or thirty minutes of stand-by time. If your cell phone is completely dead, charge it up for several minutes before trying to make a call. The makers of the Sidewinder claim that it’s also possible to charge your cell phone and talk at the time, however, that may be a little difficult since it takes two hands to operate the portable charger.

The portable cell phone charger is pretty straightforward to use and can come in handy if your phone dies far away from a power source. The Sidewinder also includes a few bonus features: a small LED flashlight and a crank that can be switched from one side to the other if your hand gets tired.
