International Calls – Prepaid Cell Phones

Making international calls from your cell phone is now possible, you just have to decide how you want to pay for it. Depending on where you call from and the long distance provider that you're using, rates for international call vary dramatically.

To make an international call, sign up with a company that offers global long distance. Tel3.com offers the same rate for all international calls and lets you pick from two levels of international service, whether you are using a landline or a cellular phone. A Tel3 smart calling card automatically replenishes your account so that your call isn't cut off even if your minutes have run out. A free trial, with 30 minutes of international calling time, is offered by Tel3. If you like the service, then you will pay a small additional monthly fee for their international service.

Using prepaid phone cards is another option for international cell phone calls. The Nobelcom company has a website that is easy to use, and offers international cards with different rates, connection fees and features that can be recharged online. Their Phone Card Advisor feature makes it easy to see exactly what you’re paying for with each card.

Remember that if you're using either of these international cell phone call options, your standard cell phone charges still apply. If you’re outside your home area when you make the call, you may also be charged roaming fees according to your service plan.
