Color Displays – Good Option For Camera Phones

We all know that color displays on cameras are a good idea, but do you need a color display screen on your phone? Well, if it's just a cell phone, it really doesn't matter if your menu options are displayed in 65,000 colors but if your cell phone is also a camera, web browser or Gameboy, then color displays are more of a feature than an option.

Today, a color display feature is a standard item on many cell phones. Most, if not all, camera phones have a color display screen. Black and white photography is considered an art form, but most digital snapshots taken with cell phones really do need to be displayed in color.

Wireless Internet on cell phones is also increasing the demand and desire for color screen displays. Most people don't want to browse the web or view streaming video in black and white or that greenish grey common on some phone displays.

If you are an on-phone gamer, then you may also want a color screen display. Growth in the popularity and availability of cell phone games in the next four years is expected by most experts in the wireless industry. Today's consumers are more likely to want to play these new games on a colored display.

The bottom line is that if you use your cellular phone primarily as telephone you really don’t need a color screen, but if your phone is also a game station or camera, then spend the few extra bucks and get a color screen.
